Optima models support aggregate bandwidth levels from 9.6kb/s up to 45Mb/s and are installed as network devices on the Ethernet LAN.Optima appliances are located behind the service provider ’s demarcation point or the enterprise edge router,and can therefore accelerate IP Virtual Private Network (VPN)traffic as well as applications that include encryption in the perimeter WAN access router.Organizations that rely on third party or carrier management of their Frame or IP services are able to take full advantage of the Optima without touching the managed edge routers. |
