Zetta Systems has developed groundbreaking patent pending technology called Zetta Server. Zetta Server can be installed on industry standard hardware like Dell, HP, IBM, Sun and qualified white boxes to create Zetta Storage Controllers. Zetta Storage controllers virtualize the physical storage attached to it and present it as block level ( Fibre Channel, iSCSI (Fall 04)) and file (CIFS and NFS) targets. Block level targets can be accessed as if they are locally attached drives except that they are:

<li>Much faster than locally attached SCSI, ATA or SATA drives</li>
<li>These drives can be grown dynamically </li>
<li>You can create drives that are much larger than the underlying physical storage using our patented sparse block allocation technology. Consequently, you can purchase the underlying physical storage only when you need to</li>
<li>You can create unlimited instantaneous snapshots of either block or file devices and replicate them to a remote location </li>
<li>You can go back in time nearly instantly to recover from disasters. This is especially useful for Exchange, SQL Server and Oracle </li></ul>
