ABSTRACT:
Almost every organization will have to consolidate or migrate its data center at some point. This is a risky undertaking that consumes significant time and resources. The planning process is a long manual processes that is error-prone. It is common that services are restored with performance and availability problems which cause business disruptions. Current tools do not address the risks associated with data center moves.

There are four components that organizations lack today that significantly increase the risk of these projects:

•Dependency information
•Usage information
•Change impact information
•Post-change problem identification
