ABSTRACT:
A team of 25 Transplant Coordinators works in a truly mobile capacity for the organization, entering hospitals, that they don't work for directly, and setting up a command post wherever they can. Mobile communication is essential to the time sensitive job of organ donation and saving lives.

Transplant Coordinators needed a wireless solution that would do it all: phone, SMS text messaging, Internet, calendar, document reading and access to up-to-date medical references. But the IT team didn't want to take on a solution that required extensive IT management or needed a great deal of troubleshooting.

After trying various wireless approaches that fell short, they turned to the all-in-one functionality of the BlackBerry Enterprise Solution, a deployment so impressive, it received the 2007 Wireless Leadership Award from Research In Motion.
