Format:  Multimedia
Type:  Videocast
Language:  English

ABSTRACT:
Organizations are becoming increasingly unable to power the data center with their current energy supply, making power, space, and cooling issues central to infrastructure planning. This videocast reviews a platform that reduces total power consumption by 85% by drawing heat directly off of high heat-using components. Other benefits of this green approach include the following:

  • Detects periods of inactivity and takes power supply down to the minimum
  • Lowers overall temperature
  • Reduces data center floor space by up to 85%
