ABSTRACT:
In Intel IT tests, a laptop PC based on Intel Centrino 2 with vPro technology running a virtualized client environment performed up to 125 percent faster than a three-year-old native-mode system due for refresh.
New platforms that include faster processors with Intel Virtualization Technology can eliminate concerns about client virtualization performance. We can potentially deliver improved performance by refreshing existing native-mode systems with virtual client environments, using laptops based on Intel Centrino 2 with vPro technology. This could pave the way for virtualization business benefits such as lower client total cost of ownership, while giving users more flexibility and a wider choice of applications.
